SSB Forming Fabrics
Triple Layer Forming Fabric
Triple layer SSB forming fabrics are constructed of a fine top layer to improve formation and fines retention. It also reduces wire mark, which is a major consideration in fine papers. The coarse bottom layer is specifically engineered to ensure long fabric life dimensional stability. Triple layer forming fabrics of SSB structure are used for all grades of paper.
Board & Packaging grade
High strength, good drainage, and long durability
- Slightly coarser and robust yarns of top layer.
- High fabric dimensional stability.
- Durable bottom layer built with thicker, wear-resistant yarns, prioritizes long running life and abrasion.
- Moderate fiber support.
Medium and fine mesh construction
- Higher yarn density with finer diameter.
- Higher fiber support and retention.
- Optimized drainage profile: Fast initial drainage for water removal.
Tissue grade
High-quality sheet formation and runability.
- Finer yarns for excellent sheet formation, smoothness, and fiber support.
- High Fiber Support Index (FSI) to minimize two-sidedness, improve formation.
- Excellent Sheet Formation: uniform fiber distribution.
- Optimized drainage control.
Printing grade
Ultimate formation, retention, and surface quality
- Superior Sheet Support: Fine mesh top layer ensures excellent fiber support, preventing fiber loss.
- Smooth, uniform sheet surface for printing clarity and coating holdout.
- High drainage capacity.
- Excellent Formation and lower two-sidedness.
- Excellent stability and running life.
- Low marking.
